Installing Septic Tanks for Lexington Homes and Businesses
Septic Installation FAQ
1. Do you install septic systems for new construction?
Yes. We install septic systems for new construction. Once you receive your septic permit, we can provide a quote and get your project scheduled.
2. How long does a septic installation take?
With our experienced crews, most of our septic installations can be completed in a day.
3. Is professional installation important?
Yes. Proper septic system installation is critical to the long-term performance of your system. Correct sizing, placement, depth, and slope all play a role in how well your system functions. An improperly installed septic system can lead to costly repairs and premature failure.
4. Do I need a permit for a new install?
For new construction, yes. However, if there is an existing septic system on the property, you may not need a new permit as long as the number of bedrooms is not increasing.
5. Where do I get a copy of my Approval to Operate (ATO)?
Your Approval to Operate is uploaded by the South Carolina Department of Environmental Services (SCDES) to the ePermitting account used to apply for your septic permit. If you used a soil classifier, the ATO is typically sent to them.
6. Do you do Perc tests?
No. Perc tests are performed by the South Carolina Department of Environmental Services (SCDES). However, in areas above the fault line, SCDES may require you to hire a contractor to dig the test holes. If that's the case, we're here to help with the excavation services for your perc test.
